What is CSA?
What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is for those committed members who prepay a membership fee for a weekly supply of seasonal produce from our farm. This helps cover our operation costs for seed, fertilizer, fuel, equipment, labor, greenhouse supplies, etc. We plan and work throughout the year to provide our members with an equal share of produce on a weekly basis. The share is available for pick up every week for 15 weeks during the growing season.
Locations
Danbury Hospital, Summit offices Danbury, & Norwalk Hospital
We will be delivering on Wednesdays for 15 weeks. The season is anticipated to run from 6/14/2023 though 9/20/2023. To avoid and mishaps we only offer the large share for delivery to Nuvance (hospitals & office); as they are distributed by volunteers at most locations.
Vassar Brothers Medical Center
We will be delivering to on Thursdays for 15 weeks. The season is anticipated to run from 6/15/2023 though 9/21/2023.
New Milford Hospital
We do not have a delivery at the Hospital at this time however we would love to have you join us at our Farm pick up on Tuesdays or Stand pick up on Saturdays. Please Loocation and time details are in the NM/Danbury CSA tab. Please reach out with any questions.
Nuvance CSA AGREEMENT
- I would like to be a member, and understand that I will share in the risk with the farm & I agree to excuse them for the seasonal mishaps that might occur. I understand that this is seasonal membership, therefore some months will not have produce available.
- I understand that each of thweek's produce may be different and based upon seasonal availability, insects, weather, and other acts of God. In case of national or local emergency, delivery may not be possible and I will not hold the farm liable in such an event.(we have fortunately never encountered this to date)
- I understand that I am committing to a 15 week subscription and that I will pay in advance the amount of $550 for a share A seasonal share will be managed, harvested and prepared for me each week.
- I understand that I am committing to a season and my pre-payment fees help cover the annual costs of labor, fertilizer, seed, equipment, etc. to develop the CSA garden and that NO refunds are available, however, I can transfer my share at anytime.
